《远了，更远》，其单屏影像部分的内容为迷雾中的荷兰景观，而画外音是一段用阿拉伯语讲述的一封家信。信件作者是一位刚刚来到荷兰的中东难民，这封信写给他仍然生活在家乡的母亲，信中提及了他在荷兰的所见所闻，言辞中夹杂着异文化遭遇以及由此产生的乡愁情绪。马海蛟在这件作品中掺杂了个人的感性成分，“美好事物所带来的危机感”，“乡愁情绪的由来”以及“对于自由的理解”等诸多问题都成为当今全球格局背景下的个人思考，作者即把其个人对于这些问题的思考转换成了诗意的影像表现。

      《远了，更远》，其双屏录像部分的内容是发生在阿姆斯特丹博物馆广场上的一次集会。其一屏幕中一群人正在合唱约翰·列侬在1971年创作的歌曲《想象》；其二屏幕中一群人在高喊集会的口号，诸如“这里欢迎难民”，“黑人的命也是命”，“我们除了枷锁之外没有什么好失去的”等。时间发生在2017年初，伴随西方世界此起彼伏的政治及社会事件，观众或许可以窥视到发生某一个晴朗天气下的一种政治态度。

Message to the Future, the single-channel video displaying the mist scenes in Netherlands. The voiceover of it is a family letter in Arabic. A middle-east refugee who just came to the Netherlands wrote what he saw and heard in Netherlands to his mother. Nostalgia is incised in the letter with the crush of his new foreign life. Haijiao mixes his emotion into the artwork. “The Crisis awareness by the wonderful things”, “The way nostalgia dominate our mind”, “The understanding of freedom”...all these questions come to every individual under the background of globalization while the creator transforms them into poetic images.

      The two screen video part from the Message to the Future, showing an assembly that happened in the Museumplein of Amsterdam. One screen shows a group of people singing "Imagine" which wrote by John Lennon in 1971; and the other screen shows people shouting slogans such as “Refugees are welcome here,” “Black lives matter,” and “We have nothing to lose but our chains.” Viewers may peep at a kind of political attitude that happened on a sunny day, along with all social and political events that fluctuate occurred in the western world in 2016-2017.
